Scripts for my Preliminary Task

Having read the specification for my preliminary task, i needed to come up with 3 individual script ideas for the 30 second opening to a radio show. Here are copies of my ideas:-

Idea 1 -

(Climax to ‘Requiem for a Dream’ plays to introduce show)
[Deep Bass]

“Hello and Welcome to ‘a bacon Buttee’ for breakfast...with me Ryan Butler”
(Music dies out during voice over…roughly at ‘with’)
[Music Fading]

11-25
“Coming up after the news, we have an in depth interview with Bradley Lewington about his football team’s progress… Welcome Bradley”

26-30
Bradley Responds

31-40
“Also after the news hear why this sound (plays sound) has a link to Bradley”

Evaluation - This idea was a complex thought as i felt that i needed to show levels of skill in order to make it good.

“Jack is here all morning long as we round up the latest sports news along with the newest music coming up in the next hour….after the main news at 9am …but first enjoy Paulo Nuntini – Last Request”

on “all morning long”

and the intro of the

song should last untill 40 seconds)

Evaluation - This was a complete contrast to Idea 1 as this idea was simple with its design and the way i wanted to carry it out.

(On 5 seconds my voice comes in saying ‘Coming up today on the Breakfast Show with me...Buttee – we have Jack Shea’
The Piranhas – Tom Hark plays to introduce the upcoming show)

"Jack :- ‘thanks for having me"

"Now here is a clip from last night’s talent show which Jack watched for us"
(Sound clip of Jack Shepherd’s performance at the talent show plays)

31-40
"Coming up after the 9 o clock news update we hear more from Jack, over to Dave with the news"


Evaluation - To be honest i was struggling for a third idea and this was just a quick and easy idea but i knew in my mind that i was never going to use it.
